Music Industries Association

The Music Industries Association is a UK trade association, the only one servicing and representing the interests of all UK businesses selling musical instruments and associated products. Manufacturers, importers, publishers, retailers and supporting businesses (i.e. music media) all come within our scope. Together we undertake activities to stimulate our market and make the industry’s views and needs known and appreciated in Whitehall, Westminster and Brussels.

All activities are focussed towards our mission: "CREATING AND ENCOURAGING MUSIC MAKING"

The MIA is recognised by the UK Government as being the "lead body" for our industry. This means we are consulted by the Department of Trade and Industry before legislation, which might impact on the businesses of our members, is enacted. MIA represents its members’ views to government as being "The Voice" of our sector and influences the business climate in which we all work.

NAMM

Over the past century, NAMM has proudly represented the industry that brings the gift of music into people's lives. What started in May of 1901 as a small, grassroots organization of 52 founding Members has since blossomed into an international association representing nearly 9,000 retailers and manufacturers of musical instruments and products from 85 countries worldwide.

Everything NAMM does is intended to serve its Members and realize its mission of unifying, leading and strengthening the global music products industry and increasing active participation in music making.

Fast Track 100

Dolphin Music featured 11th in the tenth annual Fast Track 100 was published in The Sunday Times on 3 December 2006. Fast Track 100 ranks Britain's hundred private companies with the fastest growing sales over the last three years. Fast Track check over 1.5m companies and from this find the fastest growing 100 companies. Now in its tenth year, the prestigious national league table ranks Britain’s one hundred private companies with the fastest-growing sales over the latest three years. Out of all companies in the North West Dolphin Music was top and have made a substantial contribution to the local economy.
