Vintage V300 Natural by Hugh McIntyre
9 out of 10 on the March 21, 2009
I purchased one of these from Dolphin about 3 weeks ago as I found my guitars ( Ovation and Suzuki Dreadnaught) are becoming harder for me to play as I get older and bigger round the belly. The slim body and shorter stature of the V300 make it much more comfortable to manipulate than larger guitars. The setup straight out of the box was excellent. The neck suits me perfectly and string spacing is as good as I could want. The V300 responds like a much more expensive machine. The Bass is round and deep, the Treble sweet and clean and the sustain is quite remarkable. Workmanship and finish are quite superb at this price. There is no hint of fret buzz even though the strings are low and close all along the fingerboard (making for great ease of playing) and notes are true throughout the length of the scale. This is a mid-size guitar but has the voice of a much bigger machine with the comfort factor near that of a parlour. For the youngster, woman or old fatties like me this is a great guitar for the price. Highly recommended.

Vintage V300 Acoustic Natural by David Knight

This is my first guitar, so I have nothing to compare it against. It has no flaws in the finish as far as I can make out. It seems very well put together, and the press reviews were very complimentary about it.
The protective film on the pick guard has "Vintage" logos loosely printed all over it. When the film is peeled off, the logos detach and get everywhere, so have a cloth handy when unpacking the guitar.
There is only one strap button. This is not a problem, since the other end of a strap can be tied to the neck, just behind the nut. Any strap can be used. If it doesn't have a tie, just attach a shoelace through one end. No bag is provided, but any dreadnought-sized case or bag should accommodate this guitar.
Mine included a free pick and one spare (thin) string, along with a brief introductory leaflet.
